We normally have steers available year roundby appointment only.
Product Specifications:
We grow all of our feed and feed out our steers for freezer beef on corn silage and barley, corn ration. Our calving season is varied to meet demands of customers for beef. The breeds utilized are Red Angus and Simmental and sometimes Shorthorn.
None of the steers are implanted with hormones and medications are only used when absolutely neccessary. If medications are used steers are held longer than the recommended withdrawal period.
We sell the live animal and deliver it to the processor for you. You can buy half or the whole steer, but the whole steer must be sold before it is delivered. The price of the steers however is still based on hanging weight. New customers are required to first give a deposit. The beef is $2.00 per lb. plus $0.45 per lb. processing. A whole steer will average 650 lbs.
We have also added some heritage breed chickens. The breed of chicken we are trying to preserve is the Light Brahma. We have a modest supply of non-graded eggs for sale. Please make an appointment if you are interested in eggs.
